Declutter

Being in the moment brings a host of advantages.

It reduces stress, as it encourages a break from constant worry about the past or future.

Enhanced focus and concentration result in increased productivity. Improved mental health is another notable benefit, as mindfulness can alleviate symptoms of anxiety and depression.

Relationships flourish when one is fully present, fostering deeper connections and empathy.

Physical health may also benefit through lowered blood pressure and enhanced immune function.

Self-awareness and resilience grow, while creativity thrives. Ultimately, being present offers a pathway to greater contentment, a heightened appreciation of life's simple joys, and an overall sense of well-being.

How to do today

It is hard to stay in the moment but that is the task for today. If you haven't done this before it will be hard and you will have moments of thinking about the past or the future. Don't beat yourself up, just get back to it.

Listen to your kids, friends and partners really listen, ask questions and treat it like the most important thing that you are doing.

Regardless of what you are doing really pay attention to it, even if it is cleaning the house, use all your senses, the smells, the visual how everything looks after you have finished.

Don't multi-task (it's a myth that it works), whatever you are doing give everything of yourself to it.
